Get Your Rock On!!!! Happy Birthday Dan!!

Last night We totally Rocked out on a Stormy Sunday night at The mOnkey Bar, Swansea!
It went down well, and, Mike, yes Mike, stood in on the vocal front to support the G13 crew at short notice.
The vibe was fab. and the result was a stress-free gig of total abandonment! :)
It was also Dan's Birthday (Happy Birthday xxx), and he re-arranged things last minute, to perform at the gig. Now, that's dedication for ya! It's appreciated.
You know it's good when the guitarist from a 'signed' band comes up to you and says
'you don't see people with no much movement and energy, and, you sound was really good'.
It was awesome. Let the good times roll!!
More support is definately needed for the next one in Ystrad mynach at the Beech Tree this Saturday. Would be good to see some new faces at our gigs

Tonight, the guys are 'Live Jamming' at Cathays Community Centre for a few hours, and, they're also working on 2 new songs to add to the ever growing set. They currently have just over an hours worth of material :)

Monkey Magic

Its late 1.15am with a band meet in the morning at 11am........Mike and his Dutch contact 'Raven' are talking shop.....
'Can you sing like Mariah Carey' she asks?
'Have'nt got the boobs' Mike replies.
'Mike and his fake boobies wow new bandname' Raven says.
'mad mike n his fake booboos' Mike says
to which Raven replies 'even better'.

Yes the band have been working hard
Vocals, the bands patience, Teach's patience, Mike's patience, and guitars have all been put to the test, or should we say, the MAX, during the last 2 weeks. Everyone has reached burnout, but this will all pay off in the weeks to come.

Q - what do you call a band who spend nearly every day practising, selling stuff and generally getting stressed?
A - Yeah yeah we all know, and, it is'nt The Darkness Raven!

Miss P.R. aka Mia is our newest addition......
She has faithfully promised to plug and promote the band come what may. At our Toms bar gig where about 3, yes 3 people turned up, Mia arrived having come atraight out of a backstage pass at the pop factory awards! Now, thats dedication for ya! However, Mia seems to think she is administrator of the band, by leaving guestbook remarks hoping to influence the management. Something all women seem to do, but mostly ex-girlfriends! Maybe its in the name Girl13, who knows :P

Speaking of which, Mike has arranged a last minute gig at the Monkey Bar in Swansea. The band need anyone, and everyone, who is a Girl13 fan to come and attend , otherwise no more gigs there for us and a slapped wrist for saying we could bring people! We are playing there this Sunday 3rd December, so please please please, shake a leg, but only once you have arrived in the toilets at the Monkey Bar :P

A new banner has been picked up - it's beautiful and we love it, so you will now see that at every gig! :)
Please, do NOT try to steal it, like all of our other G13 stuff. We will give you a free badge instead ok?!

The guys have been busy raising more money by advertising things on Ebay, car booting, and, on Ad-trader.
'Good old Freddy King has even given us pottery to sell!' Spencer exclaimed. 'Maybe it scared them' Vinnie said later that day, after it was announced a grand total of £30 had been made.

Emma AkA Miss Management, has promised the guys funding for the Band Vehicle, so the guys are busy researching prices on Cars, Coaches, and, Lorries......well you have to be prepared don't ya ;)
